Gibbston now has a very strong voice
The call to the community to stop the Fast Track Application of 900 homes went out on 21 October 2024.
5 days into it, FOGCZ is now 96 persons strong. Gibbston now has a very strong voice.
If you are still undecided, please touch base with FOGCZ fogczgroup@gmail.com. We can help you make a decision.
FOGCZ is led by Samuel Belk with Rose Cross, Brian Boyle, Jane Shearer and Robert Yang as team members.
At yesterday’s QLDC council meeting, where an individual is allowed to speak for 3 mins, the voice of Gibbston was heard.
Rose Cross, Samuel Belk, Brian Boyle and Sean Brennan spoke. Their messages were succinct, punchy, and captured the sentiments of the Gibbston community. More importantly, their messages were heard: reinforced by a clap of hands by the FOGCZ supporters present, at the end of each speech.
QLDC was urged to take our messages to the decision-makers at Fast Track. We will work with QLDC to have this Fast Track application which includes 900 homes and a primary school, rejected.
Here are the speeches:

By Brian Boyle
